Rubio’s spotlight on SkillLab

A black hole on your resume because you had to flee your country. Then to find out that your diplomas and work experience are worth nothing. That is the reality for many refugees looking for a job.

The Covid-19 crisis has reinforced existing trends in labor markets, such as automation and digitalization, forcing millions of people to change careers. Unfortunately, such transitions always hit the vulnerable and low-skilled the hardest. Skills mapping is an important part of the solution. ‘From job-based HR to skill-based HR’ is a new trend. It is becoming possible to recognize other talents and skills, in turn providing more opportunities, especially to those with gaps on their resume.
