Olio rescued 100 million meals

This is what you call making impact. Our portfolio partner Olio announced they’ve reached a massive milestone: 100 million meals rescued since starting their mission to fight food waste! 🤯

🍎 That’s equivalent to saving £183 million worth of food – enough to cover a weekly grocery shop for 1.24 million families!
🌎 They’ve also saved 31 billion litres of water (enough to fill 12,400 Olympic swimming pools) and prevented 177,715 tonnes of CO2 emissions – the same as grounding 592 London – New York flights.

A huge congratulations to Saasha Celestial-One, Tessa Clarke, and the entire Olio team for reaching this incredible milestone. Being part of your journey since our first investment in 2019 has been amazing. 100 million meals is an achievement. To put this into perspective: one-third of all food produced on our planet goes to waste. 🌍 You’re  turning that statistic on its head, one meal at a time.
