💸 Investment News 💸 Female Invest

The financial gender gap is a global systemic issue. According to the World Economic Forum, at the current rate of progress, it will take 169 years to achieve full financial gender parity. This disparity is evident in the significant gender pensions gap, with 67% of pensioners in poverty being women.

Closing this financial gender gap is the mission of our latest investment: Female Invest. With their platform, which currently has over 68,000 paying members, they offer accessible online courses, webinars, and articles on personal finance and investing. Additionally, they provide expert advice and a supportive community where women can share experiences and seek guidance. By offering tailored investment opportunities and fostering financial literacy, Female Invest empowers women to take control of their financial futures and achieve financial independence, contributing to greater financial equality.

Female-founded company

Founded in Denmark in 2019 by a talented team of young female founders with experience in finance and consulting, Camilla Falkenberg (Co-CEO & Co-Founder) oversees operations, finance, and learning; Anna-Sophie Hartvigsen (Co-CEO & Co-Founder) handles marketing and happiness; and Emma Bitz (Co-CEO & Co-Founder) is responsible for product and brand. They have published bestseller books on personal finance, such as “Girls just wanna have funds,” which have topped Amazon charts and the Financial Times list. All founders are recognized in Forbes 30 under 30 and are the first women from the Nordics to join YCombinator.

Empowering women to take ownership of their finances

We are very enthusiastic about Female Invest’s platform, approach, and impact. Empowering women to take ownership of their finances significantly reduces poverty rates and contributes to positive intergenerational impact, as improving women’s wealth directly benefits children’s educational and health outcomes.

We invested alongside fellow (impact) investors Sparkmind (Finland) and Educapital (France), topped with a unique crowdfunding campaign exclusively for Female Invest members, which raised an additional $1 million USD in just 4 minutes, setting a world record for the fastest campaign ever. The campaign included the highest number of pre-registrants (12,000+) and the highest number of female investors in any crowdfunding campaign (94%). This underscores the power of the brand and community Female Invest has built.
