πΈ Investment news – Say hi to cleverly π
School and exam anxiety, learning motivation, self-confidence β these are issues that many children are struggling with. The current multi-crises form a background noise on which individual burdens such as bullying still add on. Unfortunately, the current education system fails to adequately serve the needs of these kids.
cleverly: mentoring children to achieve their full potential
To support these children achieving their full potential, our latest investment, the Berlin-based kids coaching provider cleverly, focuses on 1-to-1 online sessions in which children and young people work with trained educators. Beyond offering classical tutoring to address any learning gaps, cleverly’s main focus is mentoring of soft skills like self-organization, learning motivation, personal self-confidence and emotional intelligence.
Reinvented the go-to-market approach
At this moment cleverly is the only player in the DACH region that has reinvented the go-to-market approach for mental health and academic services. Rather than targeting traditional budgets like public/government or private/out-of-pocket, cleverly works with corporates who are willing to subsidize part of their employees’ household expenditure on education, which makes tutoring and mentoring services accessible for a much broader group of children.
One of the most pressing issues of our time
We believe that cleverly is targeting one of the most pressing issues of our time: the strengthening of personal competencies that schoolchildren need for their lives today and their future. Thatβs why we are excited to invest in the experienced and serial entrepreneurs Fredrik Harkort and Julia Harkort. Being parents themselves they know how the development of personal skills at a young age can have a tremendous impact on one’s well-being. Together with fellow investors Capnamic Ventures and emma Ventures, we look forward to supporting them with their expansion.
