We are excited to present the latest addition to Rubio’s ‘Champions of Change’: Lingvist, an Estonian EdTech start-up that uses big data and AI to make language learning faster and more efficient.

The venture was co-founded in 2013 by CERN alumnus and nuclear physicist Mait Müntel. Lingvist developed an AI-based technology that allows the company to rapidly customize and adapt course content to each individual user, thus enabling personalized learning.

Lingvist’s technology has helped people to learn up to 4x more efficiently. The technology is currently applied to learning languages, but the venture’s long-term goal is to apply the platform technology to power any field of education.
